Inspired by Maya Angelou, Boundless provides a dedicated space for creative professionals to stretch across mediums. Before it launched as a concept brand, Boundless required impactful branding, a corporate logo system, and event marketing to get off the ground and acquire members. Given its artful and interdisciplinary mission, Boundless sought a visual identity that was playful yet professional, versatile yet cohesive.

I kicked off the branding process with formstorming, an exercise that explored the background imagery surrounding the life and work of Boundless’ muse Maya Angelou. The lively gestures, warm hues, and high contrast values that surfaced inform the logo and overall branding system I developed. Brand identity leaves room for expressive deviations true to the creative process, allowing for different logo schemes, gradients, patterns, and experimental type.
